Agli intenditori del ciclismo giovanile non sarà scappato sicuramente il nome di Max Hinds. Il britannico vincitore della gara su strada degli Eyof con una azione in fuga da lontano. Noi lo abbiamo intervistato e troverete l' intervista sia in italiano che in inglese perchè siamo anche internazionali.

'Come è andata la gara degli eyof; come hai deciso di attaccare?'

'Ho deciso di attaccare quando risalendo il gruppo ho visto che andavo bene e sapevo che poi ci sarebbe stata una salita. Quindi ne ho approfittato e sono andato via. Dopo di che la gara è proseguita bene, ho tenuto un buon ritmo. Pensavo che da dietro mi avrebbero ripreso. Ero venuto qui con un obiettivo top10 e sono super felice di essere riuscito a vincere. Anche perché il livello era davvero alto.'

'Cosa si prova a vincere una gara del genere?'

'Anche se ci avevo lavorato duramente, continuo a non credere di aver vinto. '

'Come è il ciclismo da voi in Inghilterra nella tua categoria(U17)?'

' Dalla mia esperienza nel Regno Unito, di solito le gare rimangono piuttosto compatte con uno sprint di gruppo alla fine.Di solito tutti gli attacchi vengono ripresi'

'Cosa ti aspetti dalle gare che ancora devono venire e dalla prossima stagione da U19?'

'Per il prossimo anno, sto cercando di acquisire esperienza nelle gare continentali con una nuova squadra. Spero che questo porti a ottenere risultati in queste gare nell'anno successivo.
Il mio obiettivo finale sarebbe quello di passare alla fine a una squadra del circuito mondiale e gareggiare con loro in tutto il mondo.'.

Noi immaginiamo che qualcuna di queste squadrte sicuramente non tarderà a chiamare...

'How did the EYOF race go; how did you decide to attack?'

'I decided to attack when moving up the group, I felt good and knew there was a climb ahead. So, I took advantage and went off. After that, the race went well, I maintained a good pace. I thought I would be caught from behind. I came here with a top 10 goal and I'm super happy I managed to win. Especially because the level was really high.'

'What does it feel like to win a race like this?'

'Even though I had worked hard for it, I still can't believe I won.'

'How is cycling in your category (U17) in England?'

From my experience in the UK, races usually remain quite bunched up with a group sprint at the end. Usually, all the attacks get caught.'

'What do you expect from the upcoming races and the next U19 season?'

'For next year, I am looking to gain experience in continental racing with a new team. Hopefully, this will progress to gaining results in these races in the following year. My ultimate goal would be to eventually move to a world tour team and race with them across the world.'

We imagine that some of these teams will definitely not delay in calling...
